Start early.
The trail rewards it.

Show up at pickup a few minutes early. We'll run the walkthrough and have you rolling efficiently — don't burn your best riding hours sitting in the staging area. The morning light in canyon country is extraordinary, the air is cool, and the trail is quiet before tourist traffic builds. Eat before you come. Fuel your car in Panguitch or Duck Creek before pickup. Eliminate every variable that could delay your first ride minute.

Match the trail to
your whole group — not just the fastest.

"The most common mistake: letting the most experienced rider pick the route. Start with an intermediate trail and see how everyone feels by lunch. You can always push harder in the afternoon. You can’t un-strand a beginner eight miles out on a technical track."

Ask us at pickup for current route recommendations based on your group’s experience. We know what’s running well right now and we’ll give you a straight answer.

Build 45 minutes
of cushion into your return.

Mountain afternoons in Utah are unpredictable — thunderstorms roll in fast, rides take longer than the map suggests, and the last hour of trail is always the hardest to leave. Return with time on the clock and you'll come back relaxed. Cut it close and you'll spend the last stretch stressed and rushing — which is exactly when people make avoidable mistakes.

Before you leave
the trailhead parking area.

The trail doesn't care
how long you've been
planning it.
